Who is Professor Sepoc?

LOTS of fun with dry ice!

here to read all about it.

Science Outside the Box is dedicated to bringing science fun and excitement to as many people and places as I can. I bring experiments and investigations to you:
for a party, a home school group, a Cub Scout banquet, an after-school gathering, or friends in your kitchen.

Inventing the Pretzel Machine
I worked at 3M testing ceramic materials. I invented a new ceramic glue (U.S. Patent 5,260,125) and tested the strength of ceramic composites. Here’s a picture of me with a big ceramic tube:
It was even more fun to invent a way to test how strong pretzels are. You can see how I did it if you
           here.

About Me
strokestrokestrokestroke

Professor Sepoc is
Dr. Jane Snell Copes

I’m a Ph.D. inorganic chemist, teacher,
inventor,
tinkerer,
and writer.

Being a scientist
strokestrokestrokestroke
I love doing science because it’s hard, beautiful, exciting, and important.

I have a collection of chemical elements, and I carry a tiny periodic table in my wallet.

Finding out something new to the world is exciting.

But showing a simple chemical reaction to a child who has never seen it is even better!
